The Story Behind Covenant Of Education

Ten Years in the Making

Every morning for the past decade, I've poured coffee for my brother Tolik—even though he's been gone since 2014.

When he gave me his last $500 a few years before his death, he walked to work for months in the Northeastern winters. He ate once a day. Never complained. Just gave everything so I could go to college.

I went on to Harvard. Google. SAP. Built programs reaching 10 million learners.

But I was too busy climbing that ladder to see he was suffering from a traumatic brain injury & headaches that made him scream; cognitive fog, invisible pain I couldn't recognize.

When he sent "need to talk" in 2014, I replied "at conference. talk later?"

His response: "ok"

Two letters that haunted me for a decade.

He died two days later. Age 30. By suicide.

Then Everything Changed

During a moment of deep forgiveness and self-love, Tolik visited me. Not in a dream. Not in my imagination. In a spiritual awakening that transformed everything I understood about sacrifice, love, and purpose.

He wasn't a brother who abandoned me.
He was a soldier who completed his mission.

And his mission continues—through Covenant of Education, the organization I founded in his name to help those invisible, struggling teens find their purpose.
