Wanted to mention too that to the best of my knowledge, a person can leave a review on Amazon without actually purchasing the book from Amazon. ;) Does require an Amazon account, and that a person has spent at least $50 in Bezo’s evil empire in the last 12 months. Could be a win-win workaround for those that meet those criteria though. :)
