ITRH #3: I reached level 33
Hello friends, and welcome to a new edition of Into The Rabbit Hole. I'm Kevin.
I am one week late, though this was completely on purpose. Right now, I’m on vacation from my job-job, and last week was the first out of two. And I was spent. Utterly spent. This is my first vacation of the year (if we don’t count a weekend trip to the South of France in May, and gamescom in August), and I haven’t been this exhausted, both mentally and physically, in a long time.
So, last week, I slept (9 hours on average), I went to the gym, I played some games, I read some books... oh, and I turned 33 on Wednesday.
Last year, when I turned 32, I shared 32 things I learned. Instead of sharing 33 new things for this year, I republished the old post and updated it with a few new things.

I turned 33 last week. So here are 33 things I believe in.
I am slowly embracing the e-ink lifestyle. After reviewing the Palma earlier this year, last week I reviewed the Boox Go Color 7, a colored e-ink tablet.
Boox Go Color 7 Review: Damn, I love e-ink - cliophate.wtf
The Boox Go Color 7 is a great colored e-ink reader despite its flaws.
In this review, I compare the Palma to the iPhone, and the Go Color 7 to the iPad. So the missing piece in my e-ink puzzle is whatever can replicate elements of a MacBook. And I think I already know what that might be.
A few things I've read in the past weeks I deem worth sharing:
- The US is going through "the Huberman-ization of America".
- Ted Chiang (one of my favourite authors, he really needs a new book, though) shares why AI is never going to make art.
- "text is the most powerful, useful, effective communication technology ever, period."
- Turns out that the so-called Bluezones might not actually exist.
My focus this week is still on sleeping, reading, exercising, and playing video games. But I'm slowly turning up the productivity, too:
We want to create a premium offering on overkill, so I've been writing multiple drafts for all different pages, that I want to finish this week. Then, I need to set up the Stripe integration and decide on what benefits we want to launch with. I've got a few ideas, but I want to make this as rewarding as possible. Work-in-progress.
That's all for this edition.
See you again soon, I'm going to take a nap now.
Kevin
