🍎 citymeetings.nyc @ NYC School of Data
Hey folks,
I'm presenting at the NYC School of Data conference at CUNY School of Law in Long Island City this Saturday, March 23rd.
Here's my talk on the schedule/program: citymeetings.nyc: How I Use AI to Make it Easy to Navigate City Council meetings.
As of today, I've been able to extract thousands of granular, useful chapters from hundreds of hours of 2024's city council meetings.
This Saturday I'm delivering the talk I wanted 3 months ago: an hour packed with a real demonstration and practical takeaways on how to use large language models (LLMs) effectively.
I'll be covering:
- A tour of citymeetings.nyc's user-facing and internal tools.
- A crash course on writing effective prompts.
- I'll share all my prompts and how they work together.
- Tips on how to approach more ambitious projects that use LLMs.
The presentation will be recorded. I'll also be annotating it and posting it on my blog next week. I'm excited to share it widely, and I'd greatly appreciate your help spreading the word about it then.
In the meantime, if you are going/know folks who are going to NYC School of Data, please tell people about it! I'd especially appreciate if folks noted their attendance on the program. If you have questions about how to do this, please holler.
Thanks for reading. I'll be back to regularly scheduled programming next week.
