Sorcerous submissions open next month
From the 1st June to the toll of midnight on the 31st July, we'll be open for short stories from writers living in the North of England.
We're looking for strange and lyrical tales of magic and those who wield it for our second anthology, planned for release spring next year.

Come along to an event!
We're holding a series of events tying in to the launch of Oaths and Offerings. We'd be delighted to have you along for an evening or two of fantastic fiction and chats about folklore, perfect for writers, readers, and fans of folk. The events are:
- Peoples' Bookshop, Durham, 6.30pm on Tues 19th May (booking required)
- Newcastle Arts Centre, 7pm on Thurs 4th June
- Hyde Park Book Club, Leeds, 6pm on Sat 6th June (booking required)

Thank you to everyone who has pre-ordered so far! This has been immeasurably helpful in the run-up to publication. The anthology is now at the printers, and we'll be posting out orders ready for the publication date of the 4th June.

- The Emma Press is open for collected essays/creative non-fiction and novellas of up to 20,000 words, between the 11th and 17th May.
- Submissions are open to Seize the Press for "unsettling bad time stories that straddle the horror, fantasy, and science fiction spectrum."
- Tees Valley Writing Conference is being held in Darlington on the 17th May.
- Oaths and Offerings contributor Sophie Parkes is running a course with Comma Press on writing folktales. Booking now open.
