Hello from Byteconf!
Hey there! Kristian from Byteconf here.
It's been about four months since you've gotten an email from Byteconf, so I'm going to keep it short and sweet!
Byteconf is a developer conference series, streamed for free on Twitch and YouTube. I've organized six events over the last year, and after taking a bit of a breather, it's time to start preparing for the next conference!
Before I start doing that, I wanted to give you a little update on this mailing list and what I've been up to. Since the last Byteconf conference, I've been building Bytesized Code, a new YouTube channel with regular videos on programming, developer tools, and more. If you're a VS Code user, you may enjoy the most recent video, where I dive deep into some of my favorite VS Code plugins: check it out here.
To keep everything in sync, the mailing lists for these two projects have been merged – Byteconf is now a Bytesized Code production, and as you might imagine, the projects are now super closely intertwined. As a subscriber of the mailing list, you'll start to receive a few emails a month about new programming tutorials and videos, as well as the usual updates about Byteconf events!
Speaking of Byteconf, the planning for the rest of this year has begun! I'll be sending a teaser here in the next week or two, but I'm so excited about it that I'll share a bit right now: the format of Byteconf is going to change pretty drastically, to more frequent, smaller events. Think of Byteconf v2 as an online meetup where you get to hear from incredibly smart, diverse speakers from around the world, without leaving your couch. Nice!
With that, let's enjoy the weekend! Happy August, and thanks for subscribing to the newsletter.
Thanks!
