In which I am a wizard

button_kin_header_CAPS.png

Reader, you find me a happy but broken woman. I just got back from my second LARP event of the year. Truly embracing my inner cringe-nerd is a gift that keeps on giving, but right now it’s giving me the urge to lie down in a dark room. So I’ll keep this brief.

A middle aged white woman with blonde hair tied back with a fringe. She's standing on green grass in a field containing spaced out tents and cars. She's wearing a bright blue skirt, black leather belts and a bright red blouse. She has a pointed black headband in the eastern european style. Her clothing is adorned with embroidery and there are various pouches and trinkets strapped to her belt

From the Button Kin Blog

This month I finally gave in and tempted the internet Furies by writing down my current (and evolving) thoughts on generative AI.

For what it’s worth I’m both an artist and a software engineer, so am doubly in the crosshairs for AI-induced obsolescence. And yet I refuse to be entirely doom and gloom about it.

That post with my expanded perspective is here: https://www.buttonkin.com/news/ai-blog/

That’s all folks. Until next month!
