Solaroids

Did you miss me? I’ve been on a postpartum pause, but I’m back with the next in my year-wheel alien painting cycle. Behold Belmartha, Prinxess of Mars:

Painting of a green alien who reclines facing you on a red patterned abstract ground. It has 4 arms, white fur stripes and patches, is dotted with jewels, and its 3-eyed upper face bears pan flag colors. Its large single food also has pan flag ears on its knee.

Initial human muse Boogie(they/them): little, pup, leatherqueer, the ultimate form of being the moment.

Painting of an iridescent blue alien with a scaled body, arms with round eyes on them, radial tendril mouth, and segmented tentacles.

In April I finished the third Solaroid, an Ultramarine Blue Terran based on my friend Aldalyn.

To gauge interest in a calendar poster of this series, and hopefully pay for the year’s studio costs, I’ll be launching a modest Kickstarter for Solaroids on or around July 1. Use this link, only provided to this mailing list, to see an elite secret tier named for the 9th planet, which you will have to follow to find out which one I think that is.

"Yumerbolc", a high contrast oil painting of a magenta spiky rocky alien with yellow insect eyes and a glowing orange star. Text over it:

I’ll have at least a 3×4ft display in the 2026 Worldcon (LAcon V) in Anaheim, CA August 27-31, and will be attending. It will be a showcase of Lunoids prints (and the smallest possible original).

That’s it for now. Share please! I’ll possibly host a launch party at my studio July 1. I’ll update you if so. Expect a few more emails from me in the next couple months because of this.

Happy Pridemonth,
