I was raised by my problematic father, Stephen King, and his formidable body of work, and this newsletter exists for me to go back to the beginning and read everything in chronological order, with deep love and a critical eye. This is not a glowing retrospective or all rapturous praise, and it’s also not a bash fest. It’s a journey to the heart of who I am and what these books are, as honest as I’m capable of being. These books made me and I want to examine what they made.
