Quiet day for AI agents, but Fresha's AI bet hit $140M ARR

No new consumer-facing AI agent launches or reviewer verdicts cleared the bar today across our 11 tracked markets. But two of the platforms we follow on the backend made real moves worth flagging.

Platform Watch

  • Fresha — the beauty/wellness booking marketplace that just launched native bookings inside ChatGPT and Claude is backing that bet with real growth: $140M ARR, 190K+ businesses on the platform, an $80M growth round led by KKR (May 2026), and over 1 million monthly app downloads. It's not all upside — Fresha ended its long-standing free pricing model in 2025 in favor of paid tiers plus marketplace and processing fees, a shift that's drawn some backlash from the salons and spas that rely on it. • Giskard — the AI testing/evaluation vendor enterprises use to catch hallucinations before a generative assistant goes live has picked up Mistral and Doctolib as named customers (joining AXA, BNP Paribas, Michelin, and Google DeepMind) and, back in May, launched Guards — billed as Europe's first sovereign AI guardrail platform, giving regulated enterprises on-premise, context-aware runtime protection for AI agents with built-in EU AI Act and OWASP Top 10 LLM compliance packs.
