Game submissions deadline, calling all artistic souls

BIRCON

Hi there 👋,

Here's one for you d6 people: Con Days are only six weeks away. Six (of September) is the last day of our initial Call for GMs. And 66+ is the number of games already accepted for the Con!

(It's actually 69 as of this writing, so 66+ is not wrong 😀)

More on all that bellow, as well as a reminder to not keep your artistic talents to yourself.

Submit your games by September 6th

We know all too well how it goes: which game, which adventure, which system… Those are important decisions, but what's more important is to be at the table, playing RPGs and having a great time with your groups!

If you're on the fence, now is the time to send your games to BIRCON.

Submit a game to BIRCON 2026

On September 6th we will close the initial call for GMs and allocate the accepted games into the schedule slots.

We have already received 70+ game submissions, so the slots will fill up quickly. Don't leave it for later, answer the call now.

Calling on all our talented community members

A great RPG convention is more than just games. An important part of our programme are the Side Quests: LARPs, panels, improv shows, and more.

  • We are planning a tremendous carousing session for our Day 1 afterparty, and we're looking for a DJ, musician or otherwise music maker who would like to raise the spirits of partygoers through sound and music.

  • And if you would like to help spread the good word about BIRCON 2026, we'd love to stock you with leaflets and posters for your favourite gaming spots.

If you're interested, please get in touch through one of our Contact channels or submit a Side Quest through our form here.

Games Spotlight

Continuing the tour of our most resplandescent list of games, here are a few more hand-picked games to delight your imaginations.

The Effulgent Configuration (Wolden)

Wolden RPG session cover
The Effulgent Configuration potion, being harmlessly distilled from the minds of dreamers…

From Frank R. the Game Master:

AI is everywhere, whether we like it or not. So that got me wondering what a fantasy adventure might look like where commercialized AI has become a reality. No AI was used in the making of the adventure on the other hand. :) Wolden is my own published RPG system where you play as a member of one of several extremely esoteric and powerful cults. Character abilities are very open-ended, the core mechanic is fast and versatile, and romancing NPCs is frankly expected.

Operation Solstice Rain (Lancer)

Lancer RPG session cover
Your mechs are prepped and loaded aboard the dropship: “Ten seconds to drop.”

From Manuel H. the GM:

I’ve played quite a few RPGs in my life, and I always enjoy the most those where the world and system are strongly linked. Lancer was an amazing experience because it brings the joy of interesting Mech gameplay, a tactical combat system, and a fascinating world. I especially like that it’s a war-focused sci-fi setting that is different from the current trend of making everything dystopian or grim dark. Despite its success, Lancer is still a small RPG, so I’d love to welcome new players.

The Witch is DEAD (A one-page RPG)

The Witch is dead RPG session cover
Once upon a time, there was a kind, wise and beautiful witch who lived a peaceful life until she was MURDERED!

From Facundo P. the Game Master:

Hi Friends! Along many other cool games and GMs I'll be running The Witch is dead. Players get to be animals, friends of said witch with a given spell, looking for revenge! It's a very simple and funny RPG that fits in one page. Ideal for new or experienced role players, rules light fans, and improvisers who are looking for an adventure 🐸🔥 What you need? Nothing! Unless you have a lucky d10 and rely on it 🦉
