I started at a very young age in computers. After 40+ years I have found my father's method of learning to work very well. He said "See one, do one, show one". The idea being you see it done by others, do it yourself, then show someone else how to do it. Your post reminds me of the third step where you are trying to pass on the knowledge thereby reinforcing your own understanding. Great post!
