The 5-second upgrade that changes everything
This week, let's make it actually useful with one tiny upgrade: give the AI a role first. Here's why this works. AI is trained on basically everything. When you start by telling it "You are a pet content creator who specializes in funny dog reels," you're telling it which part of its brain to use. The answers go from generic to actually relevant. Fast.
Hi Friends and Happy Monday!
Welcome to Week 2 of Monday AI Moments.
Last week, we talked about prompting, which is just telling AI what you want.
Fast.
Try this today: If you are a pet content creator, instead of "Write me a caption," copy and paste this into your favorite AI tool:
"You are a pet content creator with 100k+ followers who makes funny dog content and makes $10k+ a month from your pet account. Write a caption for a reel of my [dog breed, dog name] ignoring my commands while I'm trying to get her to sit still for a photo. Make it funny, relatable, witty, and include a call to action that encourages people to follow if their dogs also own them. Ask me any clarification questions you need in order to give me the best output. My goal is to make passive income with my pet account but I want to build community and trust and the same time."
Compare that to just "Write a caption." The difference is wild. Once you do this a few times, it becomes automatic. Takes like five extra seconds.
This is still completely beginner-friendly. You literally cannot mess this up. Worst case, you don't like the answer and you ask it to try again. That's it.
PRO TIP: If you aren’t completely sure where to start or what to prompt, just use the microphone function for whichever AI tool you are using and talk to it like you would talk to a friend – Tell it what you are trying to do or need, ask you any clarifying questions, and then provide you a meta prompt. I do it all the time. “Can you do this for me? How can I do this with AI? I don’t want to do X task anymore tell me how to automate this using AI.” You can even tell it to “Act as if you are [the name of someone that is highly respected, well known, very successful in your career field]… I need [x]”
PROMPT OF THE WEEK:
[Fill in the blanks] and copy and paste this into your favorite AI tool:
Act as if you are Suze Orman, a well-known personal finance expert and bestselling author who teaches people to take responsibility, get out of debt fast, and build long-term security. Adopt her direct, no-nonsense tone and focus on tough love, practical steps, and emotional honesty about money. Create a clear 12-month step-by-step plan for how I pay off [$X] of debt within one year. Create the plan by week 1, week 2, week 3, tasks, and so on. I want specific actions, easy steps to take each month. Include how to cut expenses, find extra money, and increase income. Use methods like avalanche or snowball in a way Suze would approve, including paying more than the minimum and attacking high-interest balances. Assume I am willing to cut up cards, stop new debt, and get serious about my habits. Focus on what I should do this week to get started, including one small payment-increase challenge in Suze’s style. Write the response as Suze Orman speaking directly to me in second person. My monthly take-home income is in [X]. Ask my any other clarifying questions you need to give me the most realistic plan.
See you next Monday!
