Yeah I don’t think I’d call Jimi Hendrix the greatest guitarist of all time, I think we tend to worship him a lot because he died young and was super ahead of his time. Who is the greatest guitarist of all time? I honestly couldn’t tell you, I have my favorites, but greatest is so hard because what does greatest even mean? Most technically skilled? I hate to say it but I think some nobody kid on the internet could be more technically skilled than most classic guitarists, so that can’t be it. There’s just not a good definition for greatest, so I hate calling people the greatest. I have to say though, I’ve got a pretty strong hatred for Eric Clapton. I don’t find his playing too interesting or special personally, but I totally get why people like him. Layla will always be a banger. Prince is good too, he just didn’t show off a ton on his popular records, that “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” solo was pretty cool though.
