Mainly Images, and a Little About Me

Ozu selfie.
Before I came to Baylor in 2013, I taught for twenty-nine years at Wheaton College in Illinois. That place still means the world to me. I explained why, and gave my thoughts about young people’s search for a vocation, in this chapel talk.
Why I am increasingly attentive to the Voice of Binky.

STATUS BOARD
- Work: Just spent a lovely few days in Charlottesville scheming and planning with the good people of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Culture.
- Music: Louis Armstrong loved the way Bix Beiderbecke played the cornet, even though it was so different from Armstrong’s own style. Listen to “Singing the Blues” and you’ll love him too. “Lots of cats tried to play like Bix; ain't none of them play like him yet.”
- Viewing: About to get started on Season 3 of The Crown.
- Food and Drink: Man, Charlottesville has so many excellent restaurants now, but I especially loved the meal I had at Tavola.
