let’s all just relax.

i tell ya, not a lot to report at the moment! this month came and went. the dayjob is busy, projects are busy, but nothing nearing completion. you’ll have to continue to wait! new things come when new things are ready. there is no subscription model, no weekly quota. no downloadable content. sometimes the time just comes and goes. what do you do with yours? my orchid just lost its flower, mere moments before sitting down to type this newsletter. a green onion grows in a jar next to it. it’s 97 degrees outside in the dead of night. time moves on.

free time.

projects are still in the works, just slowly. i think the sticker game will be ready by the end of july. it’s a slow game for a slow summer, which means it needs a lot of work to see how it plays out. but i think it’s going good.

but what am i doing with my free time, and what are you doing with yours? i’m playing lots of marathon with friends and foes alike. outside of that, i play bass to start the morning and piano when i find little corners of the day unexplored. i put on a record or read a book. which reminds me! i started reading this one book from the library and got into the first chapter only to realize the author was some kind of conservative fuckass and the book was mostly bullshit. probably all bullshit. it turned into psuedo-science fake self help garbage and was very frustrating. i’m going to return it and find a new book to read (as opposed to the tiny library growing in my living room).

i walk in the hot humid savannah afternoon with my dog, mushroom t. dog. i sing songs, i dance a little. i’m making cold food to combat the heat - cold noodle dishes, cucumber and greens, anything to freeze out the body.

and of course, after it all, i’m working on games.

i’ve had to retool how i send games a little because of the frailties of the post office logistical pipeline - if you haven’t received something you asked for, know that you’re not alone! i’m getting returned letters here and there. they don’t like my envelopes, i guess - which means envelope-sized games are getting the FULL PACKAGE DEAL: no matter what it is, it goes in a bubble mailer. i haven’t had problems yet with the mailers, so we’ll see. but also, if you haven’t received something, reach out to me! everything should be released at this point.

baby changes.

did you order a baby fell from the sky previously? then you have a collector’s item! the Sins of This Town booklet will no longer be sent out with copies - but fret not! that’s because this incredible technology (created by my wonderful and talented partner cookie, whose work you can find at sugarcookiemilk.com) is being stolen for the upcoming oracle game. cookie’s work is too good not to use, and i wanted to spotlight it in a much more central fashion. if you love that weird art book as much as i do, you’ll be happy to see it featured as the central mechanic and design point of this new game, where it will have the home and gloss it deserves.
