the fall is almost here! been a really busy & amazing summer for me as I hope it has for you. spent some time traveling to kick things off and have been blessed to participate in some deep dance rituals since getting back to the states. lots of memories I am cherishing as we greet my fav time of year.

september gigs

this month I’ll be front loading things with 2 gigs this coming weekend! after these I’ll be staying active with 8ballradio and working on music as I set my sights on some future projects for the fall, stay tuned.

9/4 - Silence Please - 11am-2pm

This coming Friday I’m back at my fav speaker studio and teashop for a new concept: Draped in Dub. Kinda just came to me as a way to describe some of my selections for the space, so will be familiar but refined territory if you’ve come to see here before. Always a treat to go deep in the dubs on a nice system. It’ll be a sonic treat with Niyah West playing afterwards.

11am-2pm. 132 Bowery Floor 2, New York, NY 10013

9/5 - Pancakes Records - 1-4pm

This Saturday I’ll be flipping through my stacks at my home shop Pancakes Records in Astoria. They harbor a small but deep selection with really nice used electronic/ambient and indie rock sections. Have picked up records from AYA, Joni Mitchell, and lots of deep house gems here. Packing a wide variety and might play for a bit longer if I’m in the groove, great spot for a weekend dig!

1-4pm. 20-77 Steinway St, Astoria

new music

Over Yonder VA

Earlier this summer I put out a track for a VA raising money for the Over Yonder stage at The Great Beyond festival in Minnesota. I’ve had some really powerful experiences there and am really glad to have submitted a track. I made mine while traveling and seeing a bunch of waterfalls, tried exploring something new in the atmospheric 160 territory. Lots of great moods on the whole release. We got a shoutout from RA too which was cute to see.

antic.008 Mix

The Antic crew in Chicago released the set I played with them in June as the latest entry in their mix series! It was a foray into my dub techno collection and one of my fav sets to prep and play for this year - travels from 130ish bpm up to 140 before landing back down at 125. Hope you can check it if you’re reading this :)

Basal Rate on 8BallRadio

This month my 8ballradio show welcomes 2 selectors making waves across their respective scenes.

On Thursday Sept 10th Arielle Lana of Heads Know will be coming thru for a proper club music session.

2 weeks later on Sept 24th Skoglund from the Heavy Waste/Redirect crew will be digging into his vinyl techno bag. This one will be episode 99 which is a trip!

Both streaming live from 6-8p et at 8ballradio.nyc. Archive will be found here.

Recent Rotations

Spiritual Surveillance by Daria Lourd

Really enjoying the personal & tender sound on this release from Daria. It came out at the start of summer but I only found it recently; feels like a great soundcloud for the leaves changing.

Cloud Iridescence by Santiago Salazar

Have so many favorite Santiago releases physically and was digging through his bandcamp recently. So much heat but this one really stuck with me.

Thank you for reading if you made it all this way! May the sound carry you forward.
