July 2026

The heat is upon us! It’s now well into July as I write this edition freshly back in Queens; some wonderful travels that I’ll get into but there’s no place like home. Hope y’all have been staying cool wherever you may be.
Currently sipping tea and labeling the many records picked up in Paris & London; some really deep pulls with a lot of og east coast and midwest techno tracks. The records I continue to find never cease to excite me, looking forward to sharing them in the gigs I have coming up - 2 sick shows in nyc to round the month!
upcoming gigs
7/16 - Jade - NYC

This upcoming Wednesday I’ll be back on home turf with the homie DJ MV! Wax all night in one of my fav cozy spots in Bushwick. We both share a similar taste in records and a deep reverence for the craft. I’m looking forward to let it rip with some selections I’ve been dying to play out - on at 12:30, come early :)
10pm-3am. 4 stuyvesant ave. free all night
7/29 - Light Sound Design - NYC

Really stoked for this one! It’ll be the biggest show I’ve organized to date and I’m glad to host it at one of my favorite spots in the city. It’ll be techno on vinyl all night on a powerful soundsystem: a haven for the heads and the dancers.
I’ve invited Kanyon to join me in DJing; he’s one of my favorite artists whose tracks I’ve been playing regularly for years, patiently awaiting what’s in store!
There’ll be a light dinner prepared by my lovely partner Allison aka brothbased, she’s has been doing an amazing job cooking Wednesday nights at lsd recently. mushroom ceviche will be hit, trust.
7-11 pm, greenpoint loft - RSVP here for info!
Europe
I had a great time traveling and playing in Paris & London to start this month. WAX in Paris had a great system and super nice custom Varia mixer. There were some great digs at techno import (great used bins), synchrophone (deeep midwest selections), and yoyaku (heady, newer stuff). Got myself a new record case as well, nice and sturdy now!

In London I played on a real nice klipsch system during dinner service at brilliant corners. their izakaya menu was delicious too, recommended if you’re ever in town! archive should be up on their mixcloud in the coming week. I also got to stop by behind this wall in hackney and voices radio for some nice sessions.

I found some great 90s records at flashback; their basement was a dream with so many records from synewave, missile, sonic groove, etc. funny how you have to travel elsewhere to find homegrown classics. very grateful for this trip under my belt.

Basal Rate on 8 Ball Radio

Edition 93 welcomes Berlin based Tempestfeather who brings a proper dubstep & grime mix recorded live at Panke earlier this year. I round it out with an atmospheric 160 piece i made while traveling; it’ll be out soon on a fundraiser comp for the ambient stage at The Great Beyond!

Recent Digs
Joey Beltram - Aumento

Found this in London and am obsessed; a sleeper hit from Beltram with a heavy, wicked energy on the A side. You will def be hearing this from me.
Morph - Our Future

Another London find! A longtime iconic record for me and an object of a lineage still felt today. Whole record is a great mix of sounds forming at the time; Our Future really stands out as a beautiful piece of electronic music.
Thank you for reading if you made it all this way! May the sound carry you forward.
