an obitblueary
I am deeply saddened to report that everyone’s favorite character from this blog, the blue TV, is no longer with us. I mean, it’s sitting right next to me, but it’s not plugged in or anything. And if I did plug it in, it would be blue.
It is survived by the table it sat on, the Blu-Ray player, several HDMI cables, a framed picture, a set of coasters, and the couch. It was preceded in death by… other TVs. I don’t really remember, because their causes of death were not being blue.
While I cannot lie and say I’m not relieved, I do realize that now if I want to watch a blue James Cameron movie, it can only be Avatar, or the fabled “Avatar 2”. Yes, really. People have been trying to convince me (in my fragile state!) that there’s a four-month-old sequel to Avatar, an unmemorable film that is turning fourteen this year. Like, sure. Okay. Everyone come over next Friday, and we’ll do an Avatar 2/Goncharov double feature on my new TV. I hear they’re putting the latter on Tubi.
Anyway, bon voyage to a legend. It was blue, dabadee, dabaDIED.
