[Oct 15] Arsenal cutting 60 jobs, Saliba misses squad photo, Barcelona tie moved, and more

The Bottom Line

Men: Arsenal have told staff they plan to cut up to 60 off-field jobs, months after winning the Premier League and seven days after Mikel Arteta signed a new contract to 2030. The football department, the Arsenal Foundation and security are exempt, and a consultation is under way. William Saliba missed the annual squad photo for a medical appointment.

Women: Arsenal's Champions League trip to Barcelona has moved to Thursday 12 November because of a general strike in Spain. All seven Arsenal players involved in World Cup qualifying play-offs came through to the second round, and Birmingham City visit Emirates Stadium on Saturday lunchtime.
