Antarctica, 6 months later
It has been six months since I last wrote. I wasn't joking when I said I'd continue this newsletter, albeit less frequently. The contour of my weeks and months since leaving Antarctica has been something like a long, squiggly line as I still try to piece together some semblance of a routine.
Since getting back, I have been working full-time on putting together the film I shot while in Antarctica. It has been slow going but wonderfully rewarding. It's my fist film, so I'm taking my time to figure things out along the way. I have a wonderful small team that I'm working with and I am waking up each day feeling so excited about where this project is going.
Today, I'm especially excited to share with you that I've released a sneak peek of my film, along with a talk that I recently gave to National Geographic about my most recent Antarctic expedition. I've put the sneak peek up on Patreon, the platform I'm using to support the ongoing work on the film to see it through to launch/release. If you're not already signed up, I hope you'll consider joining (at any level) and telling me what you think about the teaser!

P.S. The photo is one I shot of the frozen Lake Vanda in the Dry Valleys of Antarctica. I'd argue it's the most beautiful lake I've visited in Antarctica. We were due to journey further in this valley to a even more beautiful location known as the Labyrinth. Alas, the clouds you can see in the image thwarted our plans and we spent the helicopter ride back to our field camp going the long-way around to avoid the incoming storm.
