DECEMBER PUNK GIG LISTINGS out now - zine fair this weekend - FLO/STREAMING archive
Hello, everyone! Quick monthly update about the quick monthly update: the December (and therefore Festive) one-sheet is out now, and can be downloaded at anothersubculture.co.uk. Decided that red paper was worth a go - this may look great with the toner shining in the winter sun, but perhaps isn't the most readable, hmm - but these are going out to Patreons in the post (these may be delayed due to the strikes; read up on the CWU website here - solidarity to every striking worker in this chaos country!)
It's Christmas, come buy paper:
If you are out and about then this weekend I'll be tabling at the PageMasters Winter Zine Fair - on Saturday and Sunday I'll be there with copies of Alternative Strategies (including a new reprint of 2020 interviews from the Inkjet Era), listings, badges and perhaps some festive cards too - bought a lot of festive Letraset, now let's see if it doesn't crumble into dust... December 3-4, South London Gallery (the Clore space round the back), 11-6pm every day. I do like the paper grain on the poster:
Constant Companion, streaming is punk:
Two more website uploads too that you should read - in Alternative Strategies' spring issue I interviewed Flo Dill of the NTS Breakfast Show about her compilation Perfect Motion, an LP that covers lots of good great DIY post-punk pop, how the radio's been going post-lockdown and more; there's also a hasty guide to streaming Sniffany and the Nits with a borrowed video camera. Lessons to be learnt!
Apart from that, it's time to plan for the end of 2022, work out 2023 and see what I want to do with Another Subculture in the months ahead. More, yes. How, we'll see. Thank you all as always for subscribing and allowing me to really make use of a printing stipend, ahem. Take care, happy holidays, see you in the mess - - B P
