Hello, paper punks. An update to keep you going while I have a long weekend and get the July calendar all together.
Obviously, everything has shifted a bit but keep your tickets as I haven't actually seen any cancellations, which is rather nice. I'm going through every event in the June calendar in order, starting from tonight - Saturday you're in luck, the rest see you next month:

A parallel world line-up (both bands played the Thursday Static Shock Weekend aftershow as the world was locking down), and a fitting First Gig. Electronic Body Music and post punk/cold wave-type tunes until the early hours. Tickets still valid and available.
LONDON TRANS+ PRIDE Wellington Arch (Hyde Park, W1J 7JZ) from 14:00. Still going ahead; bear in mind social distancing rules. Follow @londontranspride for more details; full information for the day is on this post. Wear flowers, don't talk to cops.

BIG CHEESE, THE FLEX, MASTERMIND, THE ANNIHILATED, THE CHISEL, LAYBACK (LIVE); CHUBBY AND THE GANG (DJs) Oslo (Hackney, E8 1LL) 15:00-22:00, £10adv. The Leeds hardcore crushers finally celebrate ‘Punishment Park’ with the cream of NWOBHC. New date and line-up change, with THE FLEX & LAYBACK replacing GAME & STINGRAY respectively. SOLD OUT.
WALWIN, BREAK FATE, PASSIONFLOWER Peckham Audio (Peckham, SE15 4ST), 19:00-22:30, £5adv. The inaugural POC Rock night (find them on pocrockldn.com), showcasing alternative musicians of colour from across heavy music - starting with post-hardcore and emo pop galore. New date, tickets available.
Speaking of next month, the next issue is coming along and should be going to the printers in time for the 1st, but you've got the weekend to submit an event for July or August! All being well there's going to be one side from JMKE and an interview with Fuzzbrain alongside the usual pointers to loud noises. Submit here and if you want a copy in the post then subscribe to the AS Patreon from a couple of quid per month.
Good week for world domination - Chubby and the Gang's new LP has been announced by Partisan records and Special Interest have signed to Rough Trade. Both have new videos, more punk videos that'd hypothetically play on Headbanger's Ball in 2006 please. Click these:
Oh yeah, and it's Wales doing the football on Saturday and it was Sonic the Hedgehog's 30th yesterday, so these too:
(The latter is a happy hardcore song.)
More details in the next issue too but some all-dayers have been cropping up: GOB NATION in the South, HOODSTOCK from Fuzzbrain in the North. I look forward to remembering I have no stamina:
What else? Keep taking those swabs. Maybe when a regular gig schedule happens I'll make these weekly. Who knows! In a bit!!
