The Strangest Letter I've ever Written

Hello lovely reader fam,

Before I get into the heart of my reflection for this month, I’d like to wish all the moms on this list a happy and blessed Mother’s day. For those of you who aren’t mothers yourselves, if your mother is still with you, take a moment to tell her how much you love and appreciate her. Now, without further ado, Here’s this month’s soulful scribble.

Personal reflection

Would you believe that I actually sat down and wrote a gratitude letter to my journal? You read that right, I did just that.

After I read The Freedom Writers Diary, I felt led by the Holy Spirit to sit down and write a gratitude letter in the pages of my journal. Here’s how it went down.

First, I thanked God for creating the hundreds of pages I used to learn how to draw and how to write my letters by hand in a way that is both meaningful and brings me joy. No more practicing my name, which bores me to tears. Then I got down to the nitty gritty, and thanked my journals and notebooks for capturing my prayers, reflections, brainstorming ideas, and brain dumps.

After filling twenty pages of my journal with these private, intimate words of gratitude, my restless soul settled down and I was able to spend some time reading to wind down before drifting into a peaceful, yet dream-filled sleep.

Now that I’ve shared the details of the strangest, yet most meaningful letter I’ve ever written, I have a question for you. Hit reply and tell me, what’s the strangest letter you’ve ever written and why? One lucky winner will receive a Kindle copy of this month’s featured book, or one of my own books in the format of his or her choice.

This month’s winner is Penny. Penny, I will email you shortly to get your book choice. Thanks to those who responded to my question last month.
