Release Day: "Dukes in Spring"

Time to celebrate, because the Dukes in Spring anthology is out in the world today! Like other Dragonblade anthologies, it’s only available in ebook form, but that might be a good thing. At 600-plus pages, this anthology would make a fairly heavy paperback.

I hope my readers enjoy “The Dowager and the Wicked Duke,” along with the other stories.

Blurb and cover for a story in Dragonblade’s “Dukes in Spring Anthology.” Heading in yellow at the top reads “The Dowager and the Wicked Duke.” Below that, on the right, is the book cover, depicting a woman in a blue dress looking coyly over her shoulder. The caption reads “Available now on Kindle Unlimited.” On the left is the blurb for the book: “In a magical version of Regency England, a duke on the trail of his runaway niece clashes with the widowed witch who helped the girl escape. They combine their magic to track down the runaway... until a disaster on the road jeopardizes their plans.”

What’s Next?

You might be wondering when my next book will come out. The only answer I can give is “I’m not sure.”

Although I have several ideas for future historical romances, the project I’m focusing on now is a second-world romantasy. It’s the kind of book I call “historical-ish,” because the setting is inspired by real places and cultures, but only in a loose way. That said, I think readers who enjoyed the fantasy elements in the Cambion Club books may enjoy this story, too.

I am still in the early stages of drafting, and this project doesn’t have an official title yet— I just call it “Unicorn WIP.” At present, I can’t give an estimate on when it will be finished, let alone when it will be published.

What I can do is offer this moodboard to whet your interest! I’m really enjoying writing “Unicorn WIP.” Hopefully it won’t be too long before you all get to enjoy reading it, too.

Moodboard with dark green background and four images. The farthest left is a tall, thin slice of the “Unicorn in Captivity” tapestry, depicting a unicorn inside a pen. The top middle image is a black and white drawing of Herne the hunter on horseback, blowing a horn. The top right is a photograph of a white stage. The bottom image shows a ruined castle gate surrounded by trees.

I’ll continue to keep you updated on any sales or events I’m involved in. Hopefully, I’ll have updates to share about my current work-in-progress, too.

Until then, happy reading!
