Audiobooks for August

It’s August, which in my corner of the world usually means triple-digit heat. Fingers crossed that we have no major wildfires this summer!

August 1 also happens to be the birthday of one of our cats, Boo. As you can see, he has good taste in books. 😉

Historical Audiobooks

This month, I’m taking part in a historical romance audiobook promotion, along with more than a dozen authors. You’ll find books by authors whose work I’ve enjoyed, including Emily Royal, Charlie Lane, and Rose Prendeville.

The book I’m promoting is my award-winning debut romance, The Solitary Rose. It’s an open door historical romantasy, similar to the Cambion Club books, though there are no characters that cross over.

White/european male and female couple in Regency dress stand on a paved area in front of a formal garden. In the distance is a manor house. The man, on the left, has blond hair and wears a blue tailcoat, buff breeches, and topboots. The woman, on right, wears a beige-yellowish empire waist dress. She has dark hair and faint smallpox scars.

I have a soft place in my heart for this book, and for the leads, Henry and Emma. I wrote the book before I was diagnosed with autism, but Emma’s disabling magical empathy was drawn in part from my experience as a woman with both sensory issues and social deficits. Free Audiobook Code!

You can find the audiobook in several places, but I also have a limited number of promo codes I can distribute to readers. Use this form to request a code if you’d like a free copy of The Solitary Rose audiobook.

Square graphic with a black background. On the left are the vertical words “Audiobook” in large red text and the words “Narrated by Virginia Ferguson” horizontally at the bottom. On the right is a photo of an English manor house in the background, partially obscured by leafy trees. In the foreground is a red rose in full bloom and a short red candle with a bright flame. White lettering over the image reads: “THE SOLITARY ROSE” and the author’s name: “Anne Rollins,” at the bottom.

What’s New?

I’m currently juggling two projects at once: a novella for a 2027 anthology, and the fantasy romance I’ve been working on all year. I’m having fun with both of them, but at this point, I predict the novella will be done first.

That’s all for now, Rollins Readers. Stay safe and keep reading!
