Where is home for you?
Hello
How has your summer been? I’m finally back after a slow August with some blissful moments, some little trips and lots of family time.
In July, my eldest moved into her first proper house - a student house. She also came back to visit us in London for a week. It felt disorienting for her - living between cities. Her family and history in one place and her friends, belongings and future in another.
It got me thinking about home.
I grew up in the countryside, but I longed to live somewhere else. London has been home for me for 25 years. Here I feel a deep sense of belonging and alive-ness (if that’s a word). But the countryside stayed with me, because I also feel very at home in the trees - urban parks, forests or even up green, Greek mountains.
So, I invite you to have a ponder…
Where is home for you?
Is home where you grew up?
Do you feel at home where you live now?
What kind of landscapes make you feel at home?
We’ll be thinking more about home on our next Feel Good Networking walk while wandering in beautiful, spacious Greenwich. More info below.
