I'm ready for my close-up (?!)
A few reminders + one new announcement!
Printing without the boss: Bay Area print benefit show TOMORROW
I will be tabling with my talented friend Bettina at the benefit zine fest Printing without the Boss on March 29 from 5:30-9pm at Oakland Secret! 50% or more of the proceeds will go to Reprographixxx and Brown Recluse Zine Distro, among other local zine distributors and print shops. Please stop by and get some art for a good cause!

Commissions OPEN!
I am reopening art commissions! I haven’t done commissions for a few years due to the craziness of a lot of things in my life, but now they’re back!
For the first time I have two unique commission types.
The classic commission: anything but portraits, basically. Past work includes illustrations of homes, fan art compilations, and landscapes.
The new variety: pet and people portraits! These are priced at a much lower rate because, well, you’re taking a chance on me. I have a bit of experience in human portraits, but I haven’t done pet portraits before. You’re helping me learn, I’m helping bring a cool vision into your life.
Take a look at the links and see if either option sounds interesting to you, or pass it along to someone in the market for a unique and perfectly personalized gift. In the Ko-fi listings I point to a contact form, but if you’re an email subscriber you can simply reply to this email, too.

Pre-order RPS Collective’s art fan zine SHOOT! vol 1: New Beginnings
Coming soon: Oakland community arts non-profit Rock Paper Scissors Collective is making a brand new collaborative zine, called SHOOT! vol. 1: New Beginnings.
I'm grateful to have some art featured in it. Pre-order a copy! Zines will be sent out in April 2026.

In case you haven’t seen Rebecca Solnit’s latest essay about war and energy, it’s a must-read: “If fossil fuels are war, then renewables can bring peace”
The wisteria blooming in the Bay Area.
I’m increasingly inspired by people modding old computers, devices, and more. This brought me to revisit music by LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER, the guy who brought you the Furby organ. It’s definitely not for everyone, but you gotta admire the craft!
PSA: support your favorite local third spaces while they’re still around. I’m talking about indie bookstores, locally owned cafes, non-franchise game shops, drag bars, co-op grocery stores, etc. A very prominent indie comic shop, Silver Sprocket, closed its store front in San Francisco this week, and while it wasn’t a perfect place, it was a much-needed place where lots of queer folks gathered in a city that’s increasingly erasing its queer culture.
