👽 Saturday 19th of September, 6PM!

a stage with a desk and a computer on the left, with someone wearing clownish/cosplayish make up and a black hoodie sat behind it. A large screen shows a projection behind them. On the right, another person is sitting at another computer.

Eliott Burns who writes for sidequest.osp took the time to write some really nice words about the performance at AMAZE:

“the theme of puppetry was traceable in other performances and games on show. Overlapping with the end of Linke and Wölk’s performance, quantcept (Betonhalle, 13.05 21:00-21:45) by the elfin programmer and artist alpha rats was being conducted. Sat on stage with headset microphone and a laptop, rats served as a call-center operator carrying out a series of Ipsos Mori styled statistical studies questionnaires, with audience members invited to use a corresponding computer terminal to provide answers. The survey ranges from sensible to nonsensical, varying in structure and occasionally segueing into impromptu karaoke sections where everyone sings a single word, term or succession of button-mashed letters imputed by the call’s recipient. All of this is backdropped by digital scenes depicting rats’s virtual avatar in desolate but texturally lurid office interiors. Although less forcefully puppeteering than Polack’s test subject operation, rats’s still forced their audience to function through a sequenced system that was aesthetic and absurd, difficult to decipher and which lacked real agency despite your choices”

Tarot deck kickstarter campaign
after years of work, I’m finally getting close to publishing my tarot deck! In October will start a kickstarter campaign to print a first run of 333 tarot decks[1]. I’ll send over a newsletter when the campaign page is live!

Hire me : looking for freelance work!
I am currently available for freelance work, starting ASAP.
I have 9+ years of experience in freelance game/XR development, and I started way before vibe coding was widespread, so I have a deep understanding of what I am doing and a lot of experience :) don’t heistate to reach if you need a creative technologist or a developer, or hear of relevant opportunities.
If you like what I make as a visual artist, want 3D/2D assets for your game, a logo, a poster, a music video of a flyer, I am down for this kind of work as well. Just hit me up!

Art cards
Kind of related to the above as I need some cash - I started making some small format original drawings, with a series of 4-5 drawings listed every week for really cheap on eBay.
Have a look at my ebay page if you want to get one!
they are small like a pokemon card roughly, and available at a starting price of 2 to 5 euros each.

Take care and have fun!

[1] Shipping of the tarot decks in Europe will sadly be limited to a couple countries (France and Germany for now) as new european PPWR laws make it very expensive for a small structure to ship parcels within Europe, and it wouldn’t be sustainable to support more countries as of now without making the price of a deck explode. If you do want to get one and are based in the EU, you can contact me and I will see if shipping can be accommodated depending on demand!
