Dear Guild Members and Friends,
Planning for Weaving Connections 2026 is underway!
On March 6-8, 2026 we will be gathering for a weekend of weaving at Aspen Ridge Greenhouse in Sherwood Park. This is the fourth year we have held this event and our second year running it as the Alberta Basketry Guild.
We will be in touch in November with information on how to register and pay for classes. If you like, you can check in at the Facebook event
Board Update
The Board is happy to announce and warmly welcome two new members: Autumn Sanders, serving as our new Secretary, and Marie Pariseau, joining us as Member-at-Large. We’re excited for the energy and perspectives they bring to the Guild!
A Note About Open Weaves
October’s Hand Brooms event will be our last official Open Weave for a little while. We’re taking some time to rethink how we host events, so that Workshops and Open Weaves each have their own special focus.
But don’t worry—this doesn’t mean fewer weaving opportunities. It will actually means more!
Until we have everything figured out, Guild members can enjoy a discount on Guild-Sponsored Events. Please check your member email for the discount codes.
