Dear Guild Members and Friends,

November brings with it an invitation to slow down. As the gardens sleep and the days shorten, many of us find more time indoors. It's a perfect moment to pick up unfinished pieces, begin new explorations, or simply enjoy the slow rhythm of working with your hands.

Wherever you find yourself in your weaving journey this month — beginning, returning, pausing, or simply dreaming — you are welcome here, and we’re grateful to share this community with you.

Weaving Connections 2026

On March 6-8, 2026 we will be gathering for a weekend of weaving at Aspen Ridge Greenhouse in Sherwood Park. This is the fourth year we have held this event and our second year running it as the Alberta Basketry Guild.

If you’re a member of the Alberta Basketry Guild, you’ll have first access to registration starting November 17th. General registration will open December 1st. We’ll email everyone soon with all the information you need for signing up and the classes being offered this year.
