We are only two weeks away from our second Open Weave of the winter season! Spaces have filled up quickly, and as of this writing, we are over 90% capacity. So, if you are still hoping to secure a spot, now is the time to register. As always, please remember that you are welcome to join us at no charge if you are bringing your own project or materials.

Coming December 7th, we have our third Open Weave session at Bonnie Doon Hall! We will be getting into the spirit of the season with Willow Wreaths and Brigid's Crosses. This is a wonderful opportunity to introduce the children in your life to weaving with a simple project that you can create together.

Weaving Connections is set for March 7-9th, 2025. Next month, we will release class details and hope to make gift cards available early, so you can add Weaving Connections to your holiday wish lists! As we organize this conference, we will be posting all the updates on the Facebook event page, so please follow along there.

Willow Harvest Time!

We have now entered that glorious time of year when we can harvest willow for basketry again! Whether you've attended a class or simply enjoy the beautiful photos of locally made baskets from Alberta Natural Baskets, you might be inspired to start your own projects. Now is the perfect opportunity! While many weavers choose to cut, dry, resoak, and mellow their willows, weaving with fresh willow—cut straight from the source—is by far the simplest method for beginners.
