Boo! Scarehorn is coming 30 Oct!

HELLO GHOSTS AND GHOULS!

THIS IS THE CRYPTKEEPER. I have a FRIGHTFUL tale to tell you that will send shivers up your spine... Be careful reading this newsletter because it may scare you so much you go from your inbox to a PINE BOX.

SIT BACK AND ENJOY THIS TALE OF TERROR IF YOU SO DARE.

I'm just kidding! I'm not the cryptkeeper! I'm Zach Mandeville, co-producer of Airhorn and your friendly newsletter writer! I was goofing, pretending to be the cryptkeeper from Tales from the Crypt? Did y'all ever watch that as a kid? Did it play in NZ? Sometimes I have difficulty with references. I'll be like "Oh man, this reminds me of {imported Canadian TV show I watched for a summer on Alaskan public access but, through the beautiful innocence of childhood, assumed everyone else was watching at same time as me}." And my friend will say "I have never heard of this, I do not get your references. What is it about?" And I'll say "It's basically like this moment. I know no other way to describe it", and we are stuck in a circle of references in which neither of us find traction. One day we may dissolve into an all-loving consciousness in which all memories are shared and all references known, but, until then, conversation is sometimes hard!

Let me get out of this loop by referencing something we all know, remember, and love: AIRHORN! And, friends, Airhorn is coming up in a few short weeks and it is going to be a fun one and a spooooooky one.

On Friday, October 30th,Airhorn becomes SCAREHORN, a night of funny but also a night of fright!!!

TICKETS AVAILABLE NOW!

parody of original halloween film poster, SCAREHORN at top, and a jack o lantern looking menacing and holding a banana like a knife

It's going to be a fun one. We have your beloved Airhorn crew, like Alayne Dick, Anna Maclean, Lily Catastrophe, Lesa MacLeod-Whiting, Oliver Pol, and me, Zach Mandeville. But we also have brand new special guests LYDIA SAINSBURY, PHOEBE CALDIERO, and LIA KELLY!

Lydia is a raw quest winner and comedy polyglot, a marvelous standup, a chaotic improviser, an absurd and delightful sketch writer...and she does ceramics?! We are big fans of her and we think you will be too (heck you prolly already are!)

Phoebe and Lia you may know by their bug counterparts Bauble and Skump, a musical duo that have the incredible show "Bug Songs not Love Songs". Their work is hilarious and beautiful with emotions that will hit you sideways. When i saw their show at comedy fest I literally laughed until I cried and cried until I laughed. I was a flabbergasted mess!

The show is shaping up to be jampacked with laughs and maybe frights. I cannot say it will be a scary show. We are making a comedy show. But it will be a spooky comedy show. Though, heck, maybe there'll be a few frights? Regardless, it'll be so good you'll be getting tingles up and down your spine. So many tingles you'll think, "Am I at Scarehorn, or am I at the premiere theatre showing of The Tingler(1959) when the director William Castle installed buzzers in the seats to shock people during the scary parts." Y'all remember that? Were you also around in 1959 attending Vincent Price novelty horror films? Scarehorn will be, thematically, very much like that. I know no other way to describe it!

Be brave and buy a ticket today!

Thank you for reading this newsletter. I'll see you sooooooooon!*

*"soon", but said in a spooky manner! Like a dracula!
