FUNDING

Anthropic in talks for $30B raise at $900B valuation

Bloomberg

Anthropic has agreed to terms on a roughly $30 billion funding round at a $900 billion pre-money valuation, with Sequoia, Dragoneer, Greenoaks, and Altimeter co-leading. The deal nearly triples its $380 billion February mark, against annualized revenue reported around $14 billion.

Why it matters

It cements Anthropic as the clearest valuation peer to OpenAI and gives it the balance sheet for another compute build-out just as Google's parallel $40 billion commitment lands. Enterprise pricing leverage and a possible October IPO now follow from this number.
