Yesod is the Foundation, the Receptacle of Emanations. Its place sits toward the base of the Pillar of Equilibrium and its role is partly to collect and balance. The Ninth Path is called the Pure Intelligence because it purifies the Emanations, proves and improves their representations, and distributes their designs without diminution. Yesod's magical image is a gorgeous naked bull of a man. His virtue is Independence, his vice Idleness. Yesod's correspondence in the microcosm is the reproductive organs. Yesod combines Netzach and Hod as the foundational 'Engine Room' for our physical world, the churning Moon reflecting the absolute Sun of Tiphareth. WORLD: Yetzirah ~ Formation · The Formative World · Air. The realm of formation, where the blueprints of Beri'ah are assembled into specific astral forms. Yetzirah is the world of the Angels, of the collective unconscious and the Anima Mundi. Tiphareth, Netzach, Hod, and Yesod belong to this world. It is the domain of vision, imagination, and the astral light. It corresponds to the element of Air and the Prince Scale of color.
