Take your time.

Drawing and painting keep me alive.

Hi folks,

This will be a quick one.

How did it go for you this week?

My week was filled with taking care of business. Whether that was finally fixing the table I have been meaning to fix to weeding in the garden.

I was able to spend a lot of time tag teaming with my computer. I would update my website for 20 minutes then cut and sand wood for 20 minutes. I interspersed answering emails with organizing the tools and hardware in my basement.

When I get in this mode I usually set a timer. While getting the tangible hands off stuff done I tend to lose track of time and doing tasks in increments of 20 minutes is super helpful. I also take 20 minute breaks when I remember to do that. I am my own worst boss. I am learning how to be nice myself.

With that, I allotted myself 20 minutes to finish this newsletter. I have some work up in West Portal and need to dash to the bus to make it to the opening on time.

Looking forward to some good conversations about art and life.

In the meantime, be nice to yourself. Whatever tasks you have completed, it is enough.

Cheers,
Zoe

Shout Out: To all the folks who were able to raise awareness, march and protest today. And hey, if you had to work then you had to work. Whatever you could do to make it through, it counts.
