Greetings, Wrecking Crew!

I hope this newsletter finds you well.

Gut Pesach and happy Easter to all those who celebrate. It’s also Thomas Hobbes’s birthday, so give thanks for a civil society (or do your part to create one!) and the social contract today.

Speaking of birthdays, mine is coming up this Friday. I’ll mention it tomorrow, but I don’t have anything particularly special planned. Just my regular ol’ radio show, Wreck Your Own Adventure.

Mom baked a bunny cake for me that year. Pretty much every year Mom baked me a special cake — she’s good at that. Although some years I had a Carvel ice cream cake. Here’s some photographic evidence:

Well, okay, Mom did not get me a birthday cake with the caption “Fuck Yeah.” My Carvel cake had Bert & Ernie on it, wishing me a happy birthday.

Not only did Karl do a bunch of great songs he wrote (including live versions of THREE Wreck theme songs!), he also did a Boz Scaggs cover and a Steely Dan cover OF COURSE. And, Karl sang along to one of my music-bed tracks. Which one? I’ll give you a hint: Ozzy.
It was a great time and here’s a photo of Karl playing last week in the Bellows Falls Yacht Club.
