Greetings, Wrecking Crew!

This year in the northeastern section of what we colloquially refer to as “The United States,” Winter ain’t no joke.

December was much colder than normal. We had a brief January thaw that fools me into thinking Winter is almost over and Spring is almost here

YEAR
this one included! Silly Wendo!

Honestly, though, I enjoy being tricked by January Thaw. It’s like I’m taking a practice-run at being exceedingly excited by Springtime.

Anyway, this weekend it’s been Devilishly cold (wait, does that even make sense?!) and today it’s snowing like a mo-fo (also probably non-sensical when you ponder it for a moment).

Here’s what it looked like during perhaps my favorite time of day during the Winter: The Blue Hour.

I especially like to photograph it from one of the many pink rooms in the Bellows Falls Yacht Club, as you can see.

Honestly, prior to purchasing and moving in to the Yacht Club, I got really grumpy about Winter every year… right around the second week in November. Haha, that’s not even Winter!
But, living here where it’s beautiful all the time has changed my tune quite a bit.
What has also changed is that my work schedule is way more flexible now, and I can often work from home, so I don’t really ever have to go outside when the weather is poor.

I also don’t have to go outside to do my radio show.

Thanks to the internet and stuff, I can host my weekly radio show, Wreck Your Own Adventure on WFMU’s Give the Drummer Radio, right from the Bellows Falls Yacht Club, aka “my house.”
That’s where I’ll be tomorrow morning, in fact, from 9am-noon (WFMU-Time), just like every week.
