Greetings, Wrecking Crew,

I hope this newsletter finds you well.

As many of you know, I really love my village. There’s always something new for me to love about it, and this past week is no exception.

Earlier this year, a beloved tavern/restaurant closed. Apparently, the owners wanted to go back to… somewhere. I don’t know where, and honestly it’s of no concern of mine.

Someone else has assumed possession of the storefront. From the looks of it, and from the building permit in the window I peeped at, I think we’re getting another eating place (which we really need in this village). Possibly even a fun one, because look at the photo above. And these two:

This is NOT the type of window-covering-while-we-fix-up-the-joint that normal people would put up.

Thank goodness! I know it’s a bit of a cliche at this point, and you can insert the name of your town here, but KEEP BELLOWS FALLS WEIRD!

Meanwhile, there’s another strange location here in Bellows Falls that I think about a lot.

It’s called The Bellows Falls Yacht Club.

It’s where I live. It’s where I mind the cabin boys (to make sure they’re doing their job and minding ME). It’s the location of my studio, where I broadcast my radio show every week.

Some of you have been here. Many of you have not. The latter of you might wonder now and then, “What’s it like in Wendy del Formaggio’s establishment?”

Well, one astute visitor has recorded a review of my home. My yacht club. Or café. Or pie restaurant. Perhaps all of the above.

I’m going to be premiering this audio review this week on my radio show, right about 9:10am (ET). I think you’ll love it. You sure will learn a lot, including about stuff you may have wished you never heard. What’s up with those dumbwaiters? And ground nuts?
