Coffee costs HOW MUCH?
Rising food costs and what we can do about it or are we all balcony and back yard farmers now?
Ok, that was a clickbait headline but I’ve had a lot of conversations about the cost of food in the past two weeks, including coffee. I went to pick up an item that was being repaired and was chatting with the store owner, awkwardly, because I’m kind of feral right now. He told me that he got a small coffee from a nearby shop (Not Tim Hortons) and paid more than $3. He was trying to support local shops but couldn’t believe that he paid more than $3 for a plain coffee.
I understood because twice a month I buy a coffee and a cheese scone from a local coffee shop by me. The last time it cost $13 with tip.
Ouch.
And let’s not discuss what I spent on ordering food last month. This month’s goal is to cut that in half.
