Dear ,

Lammas is upon us, marking the time when we would harvest the grain.

  • Ways to work with me in the coming months, as well as a shout out for community input into the future of Kindred Soil...
Lammas Reflections & Prompts

As I sat down to write this (delayed) newsletter to you, I realise that it was this time last year that I was preparing to hold my last event before I began my maternity leave and began a new chapter of my life.

I don't know about you, but I'm not really sure how it can possibly have already been a year since then, and yet at the same time I'm not really sure I remember life before this?!

I think about how brutal and wonderful the chapter has been. Thinking of what I've grown (figuratively and literally!). Thinking of what I've shed/let go. Thinking of the future I am trying to slowly weave and create.

The themes of growth and loss can be seen within the festival of Lammas, with the harvesting of the grain offering both an invitation to recognise all the growth that has happened in the previous season, as well as recognising that the harvest can also mean letting go.

My invitation to you for this month...

Is to engage with these prompts in whatever way makes sense for you

On Sacrifice/Letting go

I am letting go of…

I will allow myself to stop…

On Creation and Gratitude

I see that I am creating…

I am grateful that I have…

If you want to connect with a group of us to mark Lammas, there are still a few spaces remaining for our event that will take place on 31st July.

Or if you're not able to join us for whatever reason, you can access the Self-Paced Lammas workbook to engage with the resources in your own time. There is also the invitation to come over to the podcast and listen to my sharings, as well as leaving your own if you'd like to - I'd love to connect with you over there!

Snippets from life recently.

I have been taking lessons in finding awe and sensory input from my baby. This picture is of us washing his hands in the sink of the downstairs loo in our house. Each time he delights in the fact that water magically appears from this place. It helped me to remember how enjoyable it can be to engage with our senses, as well as how incredible it is that we have fresh water readily available at the flip of a tap(!) I've been sharing some of my reflections and 'Life Lessons from my Baby' on Substack in the notes area if you want to come share any thoughts!

We did a trip to the woodland in South Wales to surprise my dad who was up there working, taking a picnic. It was great fun, although we hadn't considered the chaos there might be of trying to have a picnic with a baby and three dogs... Meli managed to sneak a biscuit and was most delighted with herself.
