1) Internet Usage: This week, internet connectivity & social media platforms were unstable in many regions, including mine. The article publishing schedule will resume on Monday.

2) Q2 Staff Crisis Notification: Be advised that Art Judging on our Open Calls has been paused since January because some of our Art Judges and regular contributors are located in regions of active conflict.

3) Crisis Notification Update: The break-in at Simuka Africa’s Norton Library disabled the electrical and wifi systems alongside building damage and the theft of organizational files. We will update you as we can.

Lastly, I am aware that several of you have lost loved ones this month or attended funerals to provide support to friends. Our sincere condolences for your losses. Use the above guidelines to manage your work schedule at this time. It is important to prioritize downtime when experiencing grief. Self-compassion is also helpful for days when these waves of sorrow hit hard.

Remember: there is no right or correct way to grieve.

But one of the best ways to honor their memory is by carrying their lessons & love within you as a guiding light. ❤️
