Simuka Africa will also release a public statement once we are given clearance. We will need 2 creative volunteers to assist. Email me if interested in this critical outreach.
2) The Creative Career Focus Meeting scheduled for April 11th has been rescheduled for April 25th. There is now ongoing construction in my immediate area through next week to repair storm damage, resulting in noise & power disruptions. Apologies.

Food For Thought, II

Lastly, I will emphasize that this Q2 Simuka Africa Team Briefing is emailed to 50 professionals recruited from the UNV Platform. Why so many?
During the last 14 months:
80% - 90% of our quarterly volunteer teams experienced burnout or a crisis level event that rendered them unable to complete assignments.
More than 90% of virtual and onsite staff experienced power outages, power rationing, and severe technology issues (hacking, glitches, crashes or theft) at least once during each quarter.
40% experienced sudden unemployment.
30% experienced a direct health crisis.
These statistics are the reality in a world on fire. Therefore, we ask that you make it a priority to create a self-care regimen this quarter that addresses burnout before it vetoes your opinion on the matter.
Take some time this weekend to remember why you love your life.
-M.
May hope, peace & unity be with you.
