‘Through the Window’ is a poetry zine I wrote and published at the start of the year. These ten poems are a mixed bag of jokes and pathos - from exploring what it feels like to be an outsider, to a true story about my Nan attempting aerobics. It’s a bit sad and a bit silly, sort of like this newsletter.

The zine itself is A5, 12 pages, black and white, with a glossy cover. The front and back pages feature scribbly illustrations by me.

I’d never written poems as an adult (my cringey canon of teen angst will never see the light of day, for good reason). The reaction to the zine has been so positive which has been truly lovely. I’m now gearing up to start working on my next one.

‘Through the Window’ has had three reviews so far, all five stars. I’m honestly bowled over. Yesterday I had a little cry. One of them doesn’t even subscribe here, they found me on Etsy and took a chance. Here they are:

There’ll be more zines to come, as well as other bits like prints of my scribbly illustrations. I’m also toying with the idea of really limited runs of other things, like a t shirt perhaps, but let’s not limited run before we can walk! (groan)
