Writing is my favorite thing to do in the world. Working with other writers is such a close second that it often gives me as much (or even greater) joy.

I have two ways for you to work with me in the next month or so, and then I’m disappearing back into my writing cave for a while.

Italy Restorative Writing Retreat - May 8 - 15

There’s still one space left in my Italian writing retreat!

I made a video for the writers who are already signed up to go, but then I thought you might like to see it, too.

While prepping for the video, I realized for the first time how rare a thing this is, for me to work with writers IN PERSON. I used to do it a lot, back when I lived in the States and still led lots of retreats.

This is the first time I’m working in person with other writers for more than 6 years.

I honestly don’t know when I’ll leave New Zealand to do it again.

So if you’d like to work with me in person, this is our chance.

• Isn’t it too late to make arrangements?

  • No way! That’s what travel agents are for! Or Google flights! I only just bought my airline tickets and I got a wildly great deal. It’s…complicated to travel right now, and I think that’s showing in airline prices. And when you show up at Hotel Leone, you’ll be taken care of.

• Future you will not regret jumping on a plane to write in Italy in a boutique retreat hotel with a few other amazing women (your new favorite people).

Writing in the Junkyard - April 18 & 19

If you can’t come to Italy with us (and I get it), I’d sure love to have you in my Junkyard retreat! (And you can do both, of course!)

In less than 2 weeks, we’ll be meeting on Zoom to write.

Together, we’ll write.

It’s that easy.

Truly.

The whole beautiful point of this online retreat is to make writing easier for you, whatever chair (or bed or futon) you’re in.

You don’t have to clean your room, or come up with a unique idea. You don’t have to be funny or clever or smart.

You won’t be showing ANYONE your writing. (Ooof. No way.)

We’ll simply be writing for two days, doing an activity that’s usually very solitary, together. It’s so lovely.

And oh! It’s come-as-you-can - if you can’t make the whole thing, that’s fine! Come in, then take your kids to soccer practice, walk the dog, and come back and do some more writing with us.
