🏳️⚧️🪖 On Wednesday, the U.S. Department of Defense announced formal guidance for a new program requiring mandatory testing for "testosterone deficiency" for male troops ages 30 and older, despite banning gender-affirming care for trans service members. Medical groups in the U.S. do not recommend testing for testosterone levels unless symptoms are reported.

🏳️⚧️🇨🇦 On Wednesday, the chief of the Saddle Cree Nation in Alberta, Canada, declared that trans and two-spirit children will retain access to gender-affirming care on their land. Last year, the province of Alberta banned gender-affirming care for trans youth under 16.

🏳️⚧️⚕️🏛️ On Friday, New York University Langone Hospitals and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center agreed to stop providing gender-affirming care to trans youth and pay a combined $9.45 million to resolve an investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice, which claims that their gender-affirming care is fraudulent.
