🏳️🌈🏫🏛️ On Thursday, the Michigan State Board of Education voted to adopt new health education standards which advise schools to teach students about sexual orientation and gender identity within sex education curricula. This remains optional for school districts to implement, and parents are allowed to opt children out of sex ed.

🏳️🌈💞🏛️ On November 5, Michigan state senator Jeremy Moss introduced a resolution to create a ballot measure to remove Michigan’s constitutional ban on marriage equality. The resolution will need to pass with a two thirds majority in the House and the Senate in order to make it on the ballot.

🏳️⚧️🪖 On Monday, seventeen transgender members of the U.S. Air Force and Space Force filed a lawsuit after their previously approved early retirement applications were revoked in August.
