  • ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆโš•๏ธ Recent poll data found that LGBTQ+ respondents over age 50 were more likely to report fair or poor mental health, having a disability, experiencing social isolation, and facing discrimination in healthcare than non-LGBTQ+ adults over age 50. They were also less likely to feel confident that they will receive continued support from community resources, family, and friends as they age.

  • ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€โšง๏ธ๐Ÿช–โš–๏ธ On May 25th, a federal appeals court ruled to partially uphold a preliminary injunction against the Trump administrationโ€™s ban on trans people serving in the U.S. military, saying that the policy appears to be arbitrary and based on animus. The injunction, which is currently on hold pending further appeal, would protect trans plaintiffs currently part of the lawsuit from being removed from the military but would not allow new transgender recruits to join.
