🏳️⚧️⚖️ On Tuesday, the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear a case challenging a ban on a Massachusetts middle school student wearing a shirt at school saying “there are only two genders,” allowing the ban to remain in place.

🏳️⚧️⚕️📜 On Wednesday, the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services sent a letter to health care providers and medical boards urging them to abandon established science-based protocols for treating youth with gender dysphoria, and instead follow dangerous guidance from the misinformation-filled anti-trans political report HHS issued earlier in the month.

🏳️⚧️⚕️🏛️ On Wednesday, the U.S. Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services sent letters to several hospitals asking them to disclose information on their trans youth patients receiving gender-affirming care.

🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈📊 Polling published Thursday found that 52% of LGBTQ+ adults in the U.S. believe there is little or no support for trans people, while 61% believe that there is at least a fair amount of support for cisgender LGBQ+ people. Trans adults were nearly twice as likely as cis LGBQ+ adults to report having faced harassment in the past year.

🏳️🌈✊🏿🏛️ Last month, the U.S. Secretary of Transportation threatened to withhold transportation grants from Michigan and other states if they do not comply with immigration and DEI-related executive orders. Michigan’s Attorney General has joined a multi-state lawsuit against the directive and any potential cuts.
