Welcome to the closed test.
Now that we are less than a weekend from the required closed test period ending, I thought it might be nice to spend several hours trying to find the best alternative to blasting all of your spam folders. Anyway, here's what's new, what's broken, and what we need from you.

[ADD] Set Controls screen -- D-pad navigable remapping screen; focus ring appears on all asterisked nodes; hover label shows action name above focused button; accessible via controller icon button on menus
[ADD] Controller icon button on main menu and game menus -- appears when controller is connected, navigates to Set Controls screen
[ADD] World-edge fog -- animated noise, two-tone grey-green cloud effect masks map borders
[ADD] Enemy spawn puff -- dirt cloud VFX plays at spawn point before enemy appears
[ADD] Laser sight active by default in round 0 at 25% beam length
[FIX] Controller buttons unresponsive after game-over restart -- button signal connections not re-established on scene reload; fixed

[FIX] Pushback and Hypnoray cooldown animations now trigger correctly on controller HUD
[FIX] Ability button showing doubled text in controller HUD
[FIX] High score initials input unresponsive after controller connected -- controller was stealing focus before player could type
[FIX] Pause menu touch buttons broken -- input blocker was in wrong position in scene tree
[FIX] Focus outlines appearing on all buttons when no controller is connected (9 locations across popups and menus)
[FIX] Focus ring not appearing when controller connected mid-session
[FIX] Focus ring not disappearing when controller disconnected mid-session
[FIX] X button showing quit dialog on touch -- was firing both touch and controller quit paths simultaneously
[FIX] B / Go Back on Set Controls screen was triggering quit dialog instead of closing the screen
[TWEAK] "Laser Sight" armory item renamed to "Enhanced Laser Sight" -- purchasing restores laser to full beam length
[TWEAK] Enemy movement speed and spawn rates reduced for rounds 1-5
[TWEAK] Cash drop rates increased for rounds 1-5
// What we need from you
If you crash, let us know your device model and as much info as you can about the situation - sprite used, weapons in inventory, items active - anything is helpful; you'd be surprised how seemingly-unrelated things can break one another. I am constantly amazed. But anyway, if something feels broken, it probably is -- let us know.

Planning a code audit soon - I have a tendency of adding debug lines, and then commenting them out, and then promptly forgetting they ever existed (if I even make it to the commenting-out part...), so the next release will probably mostly be just a clean-up pass plus any bugs that get reported along the way.
Guys, we will be out of closed testing on TUESDAY. That's nuts.
